Vinisha Kathiravan has been learning Bharatanatyam from the age of four. She joined Natya Sankalpaa Fifteen years ago (2003). Commitment, devotion and perfection are the qualities which the institution has inculcated in her.
She had the privilege of performing a solo Bharatanatyam in the presence of Padma Vibhushan. Shri Balamuralikrishna, Padmashri Vyjayanthimala Balli, Padmashri Mrs. YGP, Padmashri K. J. Yesudas, Kalaimamani S.Janaki, Padmashri Shobana, Kalaimamani Nithyasree Mahadevan, Padmashri Sudha Ragunathan, Padmashri Chitra Visweswaran, Kalaimamani P. Unni Krishnan and the list goes on…
She has also performed in the Forty First all India Medical Conference(Medicon – 2004), Perur Natyanjali Festival – Coimbatore, Dance Festival at Mamallapuram, Cultural Programme at IITF Pragathi Maidan, New Delhi, Khaka Bhujandar Ashram at Selaiyur, Vadakkumnathan Temple, Thrissur and various productions of Natya Sankalpaa. Bharatanatyam has given Vinisha a sense of spontaneity and self – discipline. It has included in her organized approach in handling people and situations. She received the title “Valarum Bharatanatya Kalaignar from Chevaliar Dr. Sri M. Balamuralikrishna.
Vinisha Kathiravan had been concurrently learning Carnatic music from Smt. Sri Lakshmi and Yoga from Sri. Krishnan. She has given voice over for many advertisements and sung many advertisement jingles. She has sung devotional songs on Ayyappa for the album “Saranam Ayyappa” including a rare chanting of Dhanvanthri Aradhana”. Vinisha Kathiravan has won appreciations from Music Legends Sri. S.Janaki, Sri.S.P.Balasubramaniam and Music Director Sri.Deva.
Vinisha is currently persuing 3rd year MBBS in Ramachandra University and wants to become a future Gynaecologist.
